Carlton Road Academy caters for children from the age of three through to eleven. We place great emphasis on creating a happy, safe and secure environment in which our children can learn and develop in readiness for progression into secondary education.
In May 2006, Haven High Technology College and Carlton Road Primary School merged, with the unanimous support of both governing bodies, to become Lincolnshire's first 3-16 School Federation and form the largest educational establishment in the area under the leadership of Adrian Reed.
After three years of successful partnership, the governing bodies of the two schools saw the progression from a soft federation to hard federation as a natural progression and has now been formally put in place.
In February 2008, the governing body of Staniland County Primary School expressed a desire to join the Federation and after due consultation, The Witham Schools Federation, encompassing Haven High, Carlton Road and Staniland schools, was formed to service the educational needs of over 1700 young people in the Boston area.
